Neela is at Abby's, writing on her laptop.
Neela: Me go out? C'mon Ray!

You can read in the screen of the laptop:
Neela124: I love that movie >)
SkunkHollow78: R u kidding me. It sucked! How R u otherwise?
Neela124: Rough part 4 us here. Greg, now Abby...
SkunkHollow78: Ever go out? Or u work all the time?
Neela124: Me? Go out. C
Neela124: I hang out.
SkunkHollow78: Leave the house Neela! LIFE IS NOT COUNTY. :)

Neela speed dial's Ray. And you can't hear what Ray says, but I left the space cause it's easy to imagine what he replied and because it's been a long time since the last Roomie convo on screen!

Ray:
Neela: Hey, I do have a life.
Ray:
Neela: Last weekend I went out with friends for drinks.
Ray:
Neela: I'm not lying.
Ray:
Neela: Who are my friends? Alright, fine, you know, I fell sleep watching three Tracy/Hepburn films and-
Ray:
Neela: Stop laughing at me.
Ray:
Neela: I am not a loser!

episode 5 - Haunted

Nurse: Where is she? I don't wanna miss this!
Sam: Maybe she's in surgery.
Dawn: She's here yet?
Sam and Dawn: No.
Dawn: They should tell her is a perfed ulcer - that would get her down here fast.
Sam: OK, Archie, where is Neela?
Morris: Paged her again.
Frank: She's here, quick, act natural.
Neela: Morris, you can't paging me every five minutes, what is it?
Morris: Very, very sick patient in curtain three.
Neela: Well, he doesn't look that sick, he's walking around. What's his complaint?
Morris: Uh.. he's turning green.
Neela: Hello, I'm Dr. Rasgotra, how can I help you?
Ray: Mmm...neck hurts
Neela: Mmh. I see, and anything else?
Ray: Need brain transplant.
Neela: Sir, this is an ER, with real patients who are sick and who need our help.
Ray: Hey Roomie.
Neela: You bastard! Oh my god!

Neela: You could have told us you were coming.
Ray: And missed the surprise look on your faces, not a chance!
Sam: You in town long?
Dawn: Yeah, we should all go out.
Ray: That sounds great but I'm only here for one night for the Annual Rehab Medicine Facility
Nurse: So, you are working in a ER down south?
Ray: I left emergency medicine, actually. Eh, I'm doing a residency in PM and R, Physycall Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Morris: And you like it?
Ray: Yeah , I do. I get to work with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, uhmm, stroke patients, amputees. And it keeps me on my toes. Well, make that...carbon fibre toes.
Morris: Well, is good to see you up and around.
Ray: Thanks.
Gates: Ray.
Ray: Hey.
Gates: How you doing?
Ray: I'm good.
Banfield: OK people, I'm sure you all have work to do. Gates, Sam, there's a hand injury in exam 2 that needs your attention.
Sam: Ray, good to see you!
Ray: You too.
Gates: See you around.
Morris: We'll talk later. Neela, don't let this guy get away.
Ray: Uh, who is that?
Neela: New chief of the ER.
Ray: Another one. How many does that make?
Neela: I've lost count.
Brenner: Neela, you wanna head over to Cayson's talk?
Neela: Eh, oh yeah the talk, ehh, I can't.
Brenner: I ve heard is gonna be pretty good.
Neela: Yeah, no doubt. I'm busy.
Ray: Well, if you wanna go you should-
Neela: No, I don't. I mean, I can't .
Brenner: OK, then well I fill you in later. Hey, guess who's in charge of the ER's new teaching conferences.
Neela: Really?
Brenner: Yeah, Ive invited to Adol Gwande to speak in grand rounds-
Neela: He's far too busy, you'll never get him.
Brenner: A bottle of champagne says I will.
Ray: Hi, I'm Ray Barnett.
Neela: Oh, sorry, this is Simon Brenner new attending. This is ehh, Ray, used to work here.
Brenner. Oh, so, so you've been lucky enough to work with the brilliant Dr. Rasgotra?
Ray: I've had that priviledge, yes.
Brenner: Where do you practice now?
Ray: Baton Rouge.
Brenner: Baton Rouge. I heard it's nice.
Ray: Yeah.
Brenner: OK, Neela, I will catch you later. Ray, great to meet you.
Ray: Right back at you. Listen if you need to go to Cayson's-
Neela: No, I don't. But I've got some work to finish off, so, it won't take long.
Ray: Alright, I'll come with you. So that Brenner guy,
Neela: Aha.
Ray: kinda seems like a dick.

Andrew: Miss Hoffman's vancotrough is 6.4, should we keep her in gram Q12?
Neela: Push her levels to 15, change it to 1.5 Q12 and repeat the trough with third dose.
Neela: So, how you like your rehab residency?
Ray: It's not always fun, but it's rewarding. I've gotten involved with the academy's injured soldiers task force. We facilitate access to care for wounded soldiers and vets.
Neela: That doesn't sound easy.
Ray: Yeah, specially when you're dealing with the VA and the Defense Department. I hope my surprise visit isn't wrecking any of your big plans tonight.
Neela: Well, if you consider working out and doing laundry big plans then.
Marisol: Hey Neela, Anspaugh was gonna do a laparotomy in that abcess patient, but he went with your plan instead. Good job.
Neela: Thanks Marisol.
Ray: Uhm.
Neela: I'm done in about 20 minutes, we can sit, grab some coffee.
Ray: No, let's work out.
Neela: Really?
Ray: Yeah, It'll be good after travelling all day. (Neela's pager beeps)Find me when you're done.
Neela: Oh, wait, wait, you havent got a good seal. What? What are you smiling at?
Ray: Nothing.

Morris: There you are! You want some?
Ray: Uh, no thanks, I still remember what County coffee tastes like.
Morris: You look great, man. How are things?
Ray: Still have a few more operations in my future, but nothing like before. I was in for a skin graft when I heard about Greg. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral.
Morris: Hey, everybody understood.
Ray: Are you doing OK?
Morris: I miss him. It sucks, but what can you do? I gotta say, the way you walk on those prosthetics, pretty amazing.
Ray: Well, I got some custom foot modules, makes it easier to move and climb stairs. You know, sometimes, when I wake up, I actually forget what happened and I jump out of bed and wind up on the floor.
Morris: Sorry, that's not funny.
Ray: Yeah, yeah actually it is, everytime.
Daria: Oh, uhm, Dr. Morris, have you seen Dr. Gates?
Morris: No, you need something?
Daria: Yeah, I just got a question I need on the infusion.
Morris: I'm sure Dr. Brenner can answer that.
Daria: That's OK, I'll just, I'll wait for Tony.
Ray: So, Neela, she's doing good huh?
Morris: Dude, Neela is a surgery super star. She's gonna be running the department one day.
Ray: They must be working her pretty hard. Lots of long hours, nights, weekends, I mean, that can't be too much fun, right?
Nurse: Dr. Morris, the d stick on your belly dancer is 34.
Morris: OK, I gotta run. If I don't see you before you leave take care of yourself. Oh and... no, Ray, as far as I know, Neela is not seeing anyone.
Ray: What? No, no, no, see I wasn't-

Ray: OK, how does to the zoo and back sound?
Neela: Sounds good, but is about 4 miles.
Ray: Oh, this babies can take it. Fraid you can't?
Neela: OK, last one there, buys dinner.
Ray: Better get your wallet out. Ready?
Ray: Alright, are you ready, ready?

Neela: You want some more orange beef?
Ray: Uhmm, no, anymore of that and I won't be able to fit through the door.
Neela: Well, then I guess you'll just have to stay here and never leave.
Ray: Well, don't tempt me.
Neela: Actually It'll be nice, it gets lonely around here sometimes.
Ray: Yeah, I know what that's like.
Neela: Don't you have your mom near by.
Ray: Mm-hmm. She's great, but a lot of the time she doesn't get it. She can't understand why I don't want her help.
Neela: Must be frustrating.
Ray: Yeah, I just think that deep down she's a... a little worried that I might...I kinda freaked her out at one point, so.
Neela: When?
Ray: Was a long time ago, was a bad time.
Neela: What happened?
Ray: It was at the hospital, after the accident. I tried to hurt myself. I tried to kill myself. Vicodin.
Neela: I wish I'd known, I would've tried to help.
Ray: No, no, it was something I had to go through on my own. And I feel pretty strong now, having overcome all that.

Ray: Thank you.
Neela: You know, I wish I could have been there for you when you were going through all of that.
Ray: Well, we weren't really on a talking basis for a while.
Ray: Cool tune.
Neela: Oh I love that song.
Ray: Give me that. Come here.
Neela: You know, I felt responsible for what happened, I still do sometimes.
Ray: Neela, I was drunk and stupid, and I was standing in the middle of the road in the middle of the night.
Neela: The way I handle things was-
Ray: Neela, let it go, I have.
*knock on door*
Neela: It's probably trick or treaters, let's ignore them and they'll go away, so you were saying.
Ray: After the accident, uh, I had a lot of time to look at my life and what I had to do to get back on my feet again, literally, and it's getting everything that happened before, Its put that into perspective
*their lips touch*
Neela: Oh, bollocks. Let me get rid of them.
Ray: OK.
Neela: Sorry kids, we're all out of candy.
Brenner: You owe me $80.
Neela: What are you doing here?
Brenner: Uhm, I'm sorry, I didnt realise-
Neela: No, give me a minute OK.
Ray: Sure
Neela: OK. You can't just show up like this, there's nothing going on between us, we work together and that's it.
Brenner: I know I just, I've thought we could have a drink, and, like a celebration, Dr. Gwande agreed to do grand rounds
Neela: Good for you, but as you can see I've got company.
Brenner: Right, Ray. OK, I'll go
Neela: Yeah, please do.
Brenner: So, oh, I'll see you, I'll see you at work-
Neela: I'm sorry, I didn't invite him.
Ray: No, it's getting late, and I should go.
Neela: You don't have to.
Ray: It's been a great day, a fun night but I have that conference in the morning so.
Neela: You can stay here instead of driving to the hotel.
Ray: I'm in a good place now, and you seem good too. I'm gonna go.
*KISS*
Ray: See you soon.

episode 21 - I Feel Good

Gates: Your bookshelves are empty.
Frank: You need some artwork.
Neela: Yeah, I'm still in boxes. The way they're working me, it'll be a good year before I get settled in.
(Brenner overhears and walks over)
Chuny: Neela's showing us her office.
Gates: Hey, look, Simon's here.
Neela: Hey, there, this is my new home.
Simon: That's impressive.
Neela: Oh, check this out. (she shows them her ID badge)
Gates: Wow, assistant professor of surgery.
Neela: We get residents from Tulane, so I do have a faculty position.
(Ray enters the room stacking boxes)
Simon: Well, I'll be sure to tell Dubenko.
Ray: I brought the stuff you wanted from home. Who are you talking to?
Neela: County.
Ray: Oh, yeah? Hey, guys.
Chuny: Hi Ray.
Gates: Ray.
Neela: Um....I'm gonna be late for the OR. I just wanted to check in.
Frank: Call anytime.
Chuny: Yeah, we miss you.
Brenner: Take care.
Neela: Bye.
